Rev. Kelley Springer, I am a spiritual counselor, an intuitive artist, muscian and storyteller. I know it is a mouth full, when you have multipule gifts you really don't have to pick one. For me I found that I could not turn them off. I had to learn this was part of my true service. For my clients I used everything I could to reach and deliver the light to the heart of what was needed. Now I choose to embrace all of my gifts. As an elder and leader I feel at home in myself and more at peace with my diversity.
I chose the path of being a non-denominational minister in my practice for several reasons, one was to keep my heart open to listening to God/Creator/Source. The other was to be able to be present for and with others in the most pure intention of service. Through deep listening to God, I have been taught so much more than I could have ever imagined. During the past 30 years I developed a comprehensive integration program called "The Song of Returning". This has been a large part of my practice, guiding my clients to a deeper self-love, a sense of wholeness and deeper purpose in their lives.
The more I learned, the more I wanted to share this with others and to make a map for coming home to oneself — one that others could easily follow. The archetype map of wholeness is an ancient mystery teaching that when embodied gives you greater access to your own natural gifts. This knowledge once realized is the way I see us changing our world. For when we are awake to who we are, we often bring our true gifts out into the world more. I am profoundly aware of how important this initiation is to all of us as human beings. Being our whole-self is key to living in our purpose, and purposeful living is a way to see how our world can only keep getting better. For when we are in our purpose we are sharing our true light with the world and no matter how large or small that sharing is — we all benefit.
I have learned so much about emotion navigation and being in touch with feelings in my spiritual counseling with others that I must credit those I have worked with for being my teachers. Guiding my clients and students to embrace their emotional body and integrate with the mulitple layers and aspects of the self that make us a whole spiritual being has been my joy. Learning through deep listening with them has been a whole other realm of experience that is hard to put into words. Profound, unexpected, meaningful and true come to mind in reflecting. My heart has learned to remain ever open, Creator doen't miss a beat...so listen to that inner voice. Empowering my clients to listen and trust themselves became an even more important roll I play in our sessions together.
Through out the years working with adults gave way to empowering and mentoring youth. Teaching children and realizing that weather it was someone or some part of life calling for healing, I no longer had to limit my calling to serving people. I could now serve all the kingdoms of this world, mineral, plant, animal, the Earth and her elements, any part of life that called to me. I am in service to the light and agree to show up with a willing heart and a promise to be fully present for whatever is needed in the moment.
My Spiritual Training
One never learns alone, I was initiated by four elders. I have so much respect for my teachers, for they each gave me gifts of insight on my own path. One of my teachers, Rev. Mary Margaret Rose, ordained me in 1994 after four years of studying energy healing practices, vision questing, journey work and spiritual counseling. My teachers told me to start teaching. I worked with Charles Hawkens "Crowman" and Lois Blue Bird Collard for 15 years — learning more then I can possibly put into words.
When I awoke to my gifts as a healer, I recieved my spirit name — Butterfly Woman.
I inherited the medicine wheel that Charles dreamed and completed the wheel myself as a young elder. “The Rainbow Wheel Of Life” teaches us to see one's whole-self in relationships to the seven directions. The teaching of the wheel when coupled with "The Song of Returning" is an amazing way to create a whole authentic way of living an embodied life. I became a clan leader and began to lead students into Mount Shasta for emersive journeys in Nature.
My coastal native teacher, Sal Navarro, initiated me as a medicine woman and water mother. "Yemaya, the Ocean Mother" has been a powerful ally in my work. Guiding people to the water of the Ocean mother has led many to a place of deeper listening, surrender, compassion and so much more. This deepened my emotional relationship to life in all ways for Water is the holder of memory. Water in our celluar body is connected by our DNA. Through this connection, we get to meet the ocean within ourselves and every tear we let fall is a return to the sea we are living in this wakeful dream. As a ceremonial water mother, clan leader and mentor to youth, I always seek to inspire, balance and empower others.
The Dragons of Ascension and Light, Our elemental partners, In 1999 I was given an amazing team of beings that came to be known to me as the Dragons of Ascension and Light. They are an amazing group of elementals who arrived to awaken in me my own lost memories about who they are to us all. Over time this amazing story was born that helped me to peice together an even greater understanding about my healing practice. They deepened my awareness about wholeness and guiding me through my own expansion. My Class, Dragon Awakening was born from this journey and shares my learning during the past 25 years working with them and my understanding of our Earth herstory with them. I am starting a New Course - The Temples of Light, Dragon Journey. Where we take an energy journey with Dragons to Temples of Light to heal, learn and grow, a true adventure with the light.
The Three Kingdoms, Are the minerals-rocks, plants and animals, aspect of nature - we commune with and communicate within our everyday lives. We all have these personal connections to our totem's and plant allies in these kingdoms from the womb. As we self discover our connection to the world around us we learn there meaning in our lives in the healing room they become our guides and helpers. We often find the wonderful roll that they play in our lives that empower us and give us strength, balance and encouragment.
Working with Youth and Children - I developed a Community Ceremony designed to teach parents and youth to support young adult emergence into the community. Young people giving up on life and not feeling supported is also an on-going concern for us all. As I mentored young adults in my practice, this ceremony was born. As young people step out into the world they often feel alone and defeated when facing the great big world around them. This ceremony gives young people a way to step out into the world with community supporting them that includes a sense of belonging. These steps are important and need to be taught to as many people as possible. By building community circles around emerging youth, we can better support our future generations to stay strong and to bring their gifts to the world.
Teaching Artistic empowerment, I am an intuitive art teacher and taught grades 1st - 6th grade art. I have taught sacred art programs as a guest art teacher at Waldrof and public schools and love working with young people as they see and feel their way to express their own creativity. I am a sacred ocean rattle maker and have taught children a ceremonial process for making ocean mother rattles. A process of bringing a rattle to it's voice and helping it to come to life is such a special experience. As well as adult spiritual connection though intutive art classes and playshops.
As an intuitive musician my harp has found its way into the classroom as well. Teaching children and youth that music lives like art inside of our hearts. It's my hearts joy to play music from my heart. I love to sing and play the harp, drum and rattle in honor of the sacred that is life. I encourage young musicians to play and have fun with their own expression. I have hosted music circles and intutive musical jam sessions to support and encourage young people to express their natural gifts.
I offer life ceremonies, weddings, funerals, initiaions, baby blessings and young adult mentoring. I love working with children, individuals and couples. I was deeply honored to be invited to be the Chief Storyteller for Oregon Potlatch events for eight years. This annual event was with fourth grade Waldorf Students each spring from all the schools throughout the state of Oregon. I later organized and lead the first Village Gathering for Southern Waldorf schools. I would dream a story to be shared each year for the children and that story inspired care and sharing in the tribal way. I have shared these unique stories with over a thousand children, their teachers and parents and will be working on illustrating and publishing them in the future. I go where I am invited and this invitation left a big mark on my path for my heart will never forget the time we spent together in the forest drumming, playing games, walking with plants and singing together.
I currently live in Talent, Oregon and offer private session with youth, individiuals and couples by phone, by Zoom or in person. It is my dream that through honoring each other and sharing with love we can make the world a better place together. We have to learn to share this great big planet we are living on with each other. Blessings on us all as we find our way to rebuild the village and come together.
